Stuwie mentioned something similar recently, I haven't seen it in any of the browsers which I use, but obviously it is a problem for some, what browser are you using and what version?

looked into it and it appears that there is a problem with the menu and this template on IE6 and IE7. I only use IE8 and firefox, I'll look into it and post updates on here.

Willsy/Stuie,

Is the menu disaapearing behind articles or is it dissapearing behind the top banner (and if so is it only some of them)?

Depending on what's happening I have another template to try which hopefully will resolve the issue.

Having a few problems getting the menu to work correctly so am looking at upgrading the site software (something I was trying to put off for a while). It's a bit of an involved process but I will try and make the transition as smooth as possible. In the meantime there's a very basic menu on the top from which you should be able to access most things.
