Eagerly anticipated fixture list reveals a trip to New Cross to open the new season for The Chiefs.

With the RFU set to revert to 12-team leagues in 2022-23 this may be one of the busiest league programmes for some time

Rarely have a set of fixtures been so eagerly anticipated as rugby clubs across the country look forward to the first full rugby season since 2018-19. The new fixture list dropped through the virtual letterbox earlier today which coincided with the return of coach Brett Stroud to kick-off senior pre-season training at Bickleigh Down this evening.

There is a mouthwatering set of fixtures in a bumper 14-team Tribute Devon One which kicks off for Argaum at New Cross on 4th September and follows up with local derbies against OPM and Old Techs. The fixtures get reversed mid-season so that New Cross provide the final league opposition at Bickleigh Down on St Georges Day.

With the RFU set to revert to 12-team leagues in 2022-23 this may be one of the busiest league programmes for some time and after such a long lay-off a good pre-season will be required. To that end Stroud is lining up a good set of pre-season fixtures more of which will be released soon.

Training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Bickleigh Down - contact Brett Stroud for more details.
