Good pressure from Techs at the start of the 2nd period saw Billy Evans score on his return. This appeared to galvanise the Chiefs and Dan Smith battered through to win a penalty which was missed. De Ja Vu moments later, resulted in 3 points.

Hewitt slotted again on 60 minutes to make it 23-5 after fantastic work from the Argaum backline forced Old Techs to concede another penalty in their own 22.

Evans was lucky to escape red when he was binned for a tip tackle on Argaum's James Riley. A well tempered and we'll contested final twenty minutes followed, with the referee awarding a penalty try at the death.

A well earned victory in which Argaum experimented with players out of position. Karl Sullivan's return at hooker was a welcome sight and minutes for Kal Bloomfield, Will Cox and Pat Barker will benefit them all immensely
