Wanderers Through to Pedrick Cup

Moorlands Lane hosted this Ellis Cup match, With Saltash Vets playing current holders, Plymouth Argaum's Wanderers team.

The preparations were hampered, with a number of unavailabilities, which saw some players drafted to the Chiefs at last minute. But with the likes of Richard Belli making his first appearance for a number of seasons, and a reshuffle seeing Toby Liberson out on the wing, the game went ahead.

It wasn't long before a head injury saw Mike Wood take a trip to Derriford with a flesh wound to his face, weeks before his wedding.

Matt Cardell pushed Owen Belli close for the MOTM award, with his drive and powerful play throughout the game.

The game was called after the 60 minute threshold as the muddy pitch had made it too difficult for the referee to tell who was who.

This result should see the Wanderers play Tavistock 3rds before the beginning of March, at Bickleigh Down.
