The Wanderers wanted to atone for a heavy defeat last time out away to Torrington.
OPM's raised a Third XV, The Nomads. Both sides saw returns from club stalwarts with OPM's Chris Pascoe dusting off his boots and Argaum welcomed back Darren Wills, Chris Sillitoe, Tony Hickey and Richard Belli.
The competition for places in the Chiefs' side meant Ieuan Evans, Tom Richards, Kal Bloomfield and Will Cox all saw the Wanderers' yeam sheet.
A game of 2 halves saw the Nomads go in 12-3 ahead and despite having the slope in the second half, the Wanderers would have to play against the wind. With Evans and Bloomfield off, there seemed to be more cohesion in the team. The kicking game was abandoned, perhaps due to the wind and Argaum trudged upfield to gradually put points on the board.
Tries from Wills and Sam Russell put the Wanderers ahead with only a few minutes to go, when a loose pass saw an interception and a try for the Nomads to snatch it.
