Chiefs Defeat Tavistock in 1st West Dartmoor Derby in nearly 20 years.

In contrast to last Saturday's agonising defeat, it was Argaum who capitalised on the last play of the game.

Bloomfield timed his late run on the wing to perfection to pop over the line to score the Chiefs' 4th try, securing the bonus point at the death.

The game was already won thanks to three previous scores.

Argaum started brightly, playing downhill on a glorious day at Bickleigh Down. Early pressure and slick hands saw Welsh wing Ieuan Evans score in the corner, only to everyone's surprise, for the away touch judge to raise his flag. As a result, the try was disallowed.

Jake Turfrey missed an early penalty and Tom Holliday was adjudged to have fumbled the ball over the line from a pushover scrum. With 17 points going begging already, number 8 Holliday made amends and touched down, breaking off another attacking scrum. Tom Richards added the extras.

Skipper for the day Richards elected to take a penalty shortly after to nudge the scoreboard along to 10. Half time saw the sides going in at 10-7, and the visitors would've been looking forward to taking the slope in the second half.

It was the team in Green that came out of the traps the quickest. Rapid offloads saw the Chiefs trundle up the pitch, with center Dan James bursting through to score the second try. Soon after, utility front rower Joe Avazian popped up on the wing, in a play straight out of Stuart Quarterman's repertoire. Great hands out wide saw Avazian free to pop over the line.

Resolute defending from the entire Argaum team kept the visitors at bay. Always looking dangerous out wide, Tavistock never looked out of the game. Only the clock against them. The fly-half a constant threat, looking to break and create at every opportunity.

With Bloomfield scoring at the end, the triple was secured. The Wanderers put in a convincing shift on the adjacent pitch, beating the Tamar Saracens 'Infidels' 38-0 and earlier, the Colts defeated Paignton Colts 30-10 in the sunshine on the Riviera.
