In traditional boxing day fashion the heavens opened up on bickliegh down but this didn't deter the
supporters who came up to witness a true hard fought battle which has been going since 1932.

The game started and from the off it was apparent that this would be a forwards game both sides forced turns overs but it
was Argaum you struck first on 15 minutes when the ever present Jake Turfrey skipped through 3 tackles to touch down under the posts Turfrey added the extras.

Opm from a deep kick off straight away hit back and drove the ball up field through some great breaks by centre Ed Stevens popped off to Flanker James Stevenson who crashed through two tackles to touch down extras missed.

the game continued with the pitch becoming more of a quaqmire than a rugby pitch with both sides seeing plenty of action but it was Argaum who broke next with a ruck formed on the 22 the ball broke out to Jake Turfrey who in mid tackle remarkably pulled off a one handed off load behind his back mid tackle to Flanker Tom Richards who crashed over extras missed.

This spured OPms on a penatly on Argaums 22 resulted in a tap a go which found the ever present Matt Glastonbury who got to the 5 meter before being hauled down from the resulting ruck found Prop Adam Geoghegan who crashed over extras missed.

Argaum again stuck back bang on half time to increase the lead with some good work by number 8 Daniel Shepard who found space and managed to offload to Tom Beli who ran in from the 5 meter to score. Extras missed

Argaum were down to 14 when an off the ball incident with Centre Paul Ansell saw him receive a yellow.

into the second half and both sides saw plenty of ball with knock-ons and advantage seem to be constantly in play. It was Argaum who increased there lead through Centre and man of the match David "Forehead" Hall who broke
from halfway through 5 tackles to touch down under the posts. Hall added the extras.

In bizzare fashion straight from the kick off Opms hit back after the kick off bounced off an Argaum players knee straight into the arms of centre Ed Stevens who beat the full back to touch down stevens added the 2 points.

Opms seems to be having the better of the game and kept ball for long periods
with some powerful running and some good rucking resulted in Matt glastonbury reciveing a
pop pass and galloping through from the 22 to crash over. extras missed

with the game at 24- 22 the last 10 mins were up for grabs with both sides battling for the win Argaum thought they had snatched it when fly half Tom Underwood broke though only to touch the ball down on the 5 meter thinking
he had scored.

Opms had Argaum camped in there 22 but somehow the boys from Bickliegh down managed to break free and work there way up field with some good rucking by forwards Nick Hanncock and second row Darren Ford saw Argaum rewarded with a penatly on the 5 Jake Turfrey took a quick tap and caught Opms off guard and crashed over to score.

The Rubin trophy is staying with Argaum for another year.
