Salcombe have historically been somewhat of a bogey-side for Argaum, as testified by David Dobell in the Argaum Centenary History. On their last visit to Bickleigh Down they also inflicted one of only two defeats in Argaum's title winning side of 2022-23. In that context yesterday's 11 try victory was perhaps unexpected but nevertheless it gives Argaum a perfect start to the 2025-26 campaign. Jerry Vakalutu grabbed four tries as The Chiefs continued their more expansive style of rugby.
