When Argaum comprehensively defeated a depleted Salcombe side at Bickleigh Down they knew the return fixture would be a completely different proposition. And so it proved as it needed all of Argaum's resolve to cross for a try in the dying minutes, courtesy of Dan Smith, which brough them back to within one point. Of course, it still required the conversion from Jake Turfrey to seal the win. Argaum once again had to ring the changes due to illness and availability and Dean Avery, Callum Mills and Gideon Berends-Smith rolled back the years to contribute to a hard fought victory. On the back of the disappointing pre-Christmas defeat to Old Techs this was a great way to start 2026.
