A quirk of the disrupted start to the season is that Argaum start off with three home matches in the league and it is important to make the most of that benefit. So far, so good, as Argaum backed up last week's win over Salcombe with a closely fought win over Paignton IIs. As is the norm these days coach Martin Hendy had to make a number of changes due to injury and availability but there are signs of a decent squad taking shape. As far as the league table is concerned, the bonus point win gives Argaum a positive points total; the eagle-eyed among you will probably notice that Chiefs were one of 4 teams to start the season with a -5 point penalty due to an unfulfilled fixture in the second half of last season. Nevertheless there is optimism around Bickleigh Down ahead of another stern test when league leaders Ivybridge IIs visit Bickleigh Down next Saturday.
