Referee calls it at halftime due to hamstring injury.

Argaum will be disappointed that this game was called early and will need a replay. With a slender lead, but looking to play 14 men for ten minutes and Sarries influential flanker Miller nursing an injury, Argaum were looking forward to the second half. The referee, who pulled up after 10 minutes initially and received treatment from both benches throughout the half bravely offered to carry on, but by his own admission, wouldn't be able to keep up with play, so the refs assessor took the decision to abandon.

The half started brightly for the Chiefs as some good direct running from Aaron Anderson-Smith and Kevin Sidebottom pumped Argaum up the field. Anderson-Smith made a break from the maul on the blind and desperate defence from the home team saw him stop just short of the line. With the ball well secured, the ball looked set to fly wide, but Ben Glanfield popped it short for birthday boy Dan Smith to crash over. Tom Richards converted. With Argaum looking good, it was an unusual sequence if missed tackles in the pack that allowed Tamar Saracens back in to the game. Dispute Argaum looking good in the scrums and rucks, the ball was kept alive and a fast paced game saw the wingers and fullback all have ball and the chiefs looked ever dangerous. It was Ciaran Bennett in the centres who crashed over for Argaum's second try with a simple hands move. Saracens fly half Hayden Coles, who played most of Pre-season with Argaum was being shown how to play by Jake Turfrey for most of the half, but then, on 36 minutes, sidestepped and darted 35 yards before putting Ashford over for the home team. With Clint Miller struggling with a foot injury and another player yellowed for fly-hacking at a stampeding Nick Hancock the whistle went. Lengthy discussion followed, before the game was called.
