We would like to wish belated happy birthdays to Pete Duff and Bob Holder who both notched up 3/4 of a century in the last few days. Born within a day of each other, the duo, who are both Argaum VPs, have been part of the club from the 1970s through to the present day.
Bob was a player in the mid 1970s whilst also taking on the Treasurer Role at that time. After a 48 year break,
Bob returned to the fold to take up the same role again. He is also an active member of the Drifters, the club's walking rugby side.
Pete joined the club in the 1980s and was a permanent fixture in the scrum half berth for nigh on 30 years, fulfilling numerous club roles as well being the club's official Choirmaster home and away. Prior to taking up rugby, Pete was a keen footballer, a sport he has since returned to representing Plymouth Argyle Over 70s at tournaments around the country.
I'm sure VPs will be looking to toast the duo with a glass of port, Belated Happy Birthday to Both!
(For those wondering, Bob was the first out of the hatch).
